Nature of the Software

Kurex is proprietary screen analysis and input automation software based on artificial neural networks. The software is designed as a research, teaching, and application tool in the field of computer vision. It also serves as an assistive tool for people with motor impairments and as an entertainment and training tool for private use.

The software does not constitute a "hack" in the legal sense, as it does not obtain unauthorized access to third-party systems or data. It does not modify game data, compromise security mechanisms, or access specially protected data within the meaning of Section 202a of the German Criminal Code (StGB).

The term "AI Vision" in our marketing should be understood as a colloquial description of functionality and not as an admission of legally impermissible interference depth.

Technical Operation in Detail

2.1 What the Software Does

  • It captures your screen signal via the operating system's standard interface (DXGI Desktop Duplication, comparable to screen recording tools such as OBS).
  • It analyzes this image locally on your device using a neural network and identifies image regions that are statistically typical of "opponent models."
  • Based on the analysis results, it generates standards-compliant HID inputs (mouse movement, mouse clicks) that are processed by the operating system like normal physical mouse input.

2.2 What the Software Does Not Do

At no point does the software:

  • No process access: It does not read, write, or manipulate the memory of third-party programs.
  • No process hooking: It does not intercept or modify API calls from third-party processes.
  • No DLL process modification: It does not inject code into third-party processes.
  • No driver manipulation: It does not install kernel drivers that interfere with foreign memory areas.
  • No DRM circumvention: Copy protection or DRM measures are neither detected nor bypassed (Section 95a UrhG).
  • No disassembly of third-party software: It does not reverse-engineer other software.
  • No data exfiltration: Screen content, game data, or third-party personal data are not transmitted to external servers.

2.3 Comparison with Permitted Everyday Technologies

The underlying technologies are used in numerous undisputedly legal applications:

  • Screen recording software (OBS, Streamlabs, Discord streaming)
  • Screen magnifiers and eye-tracking tools for accessibility
  • Test automation in software development (Selenium, AutoIt, Sikuli)
  • OCR and vision systems in industrial and medical fields
  • Computer vision frameworks (OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

The software differs fundamentally from conventional memory-based tools because it operates exclusively from the outside via the screen signal.

Legal Framework

3.1 Criminal Law Assessment

Under the prevailing legal view in Germany, pure screen analysis and input automation tools that neither modify the memory nor the files of third-party programs are generally not objectionable under criminal law. The following offenses are not applicable due to lack of relevant conduct:

  • Section 202a StGB (data espionage): No specially secured data is overcome we analyze only the screen signal released by the user.
  • Section 202c StGB (preparing data espionage): The software is not objectively designed to circumvent security measures.
  • Section 303a StGB (data alteration): No third-party data is altered.
  • Section 303b StGB (computer sabotage): No significant impairment of third-party data processing occurs.

3.2 Copyright Assessment

  • Section 44a UrhG (temporary reproduction): Short-term buffering of the screen signal for analysis is a technically necessary, transient copy and is therefore permitted.
  • Section 53 UrhG (reproduction for private use): The private copying exception covers analytical processing of screen content for private use.
  • Section 95a UrhG (protection of technical measures): Since no effective technical protection measures are circumvented, Section 95a does not apply.

3.3 Competition Law Assessment

The software is distributed exclusively to private individuals for private use. Competition law relevance under the UWG typically arises only through commercial use (e.g. boosting services), which is expressly prohibited by our Terms of Service.

Note

This assessment reflects the provider's legal view and does not constitute legal advice. Legal classification may differ depending on the individual case, jurisdiction, and court interpretation. If in doubt, please consult a lawyer of your choice.

Setup Information & Requirements

For specific setup configurations and hardware requirements, see Setup Information & Requirements. There you will find requirements for single-PC, dual-PC, and console setups.

Game Provider Terms of Service

Entirely independent of criminal law permissibility, the private-law terms of service of most game providers (Valve, Riot, Activision, Epic, Ubisoft, EA, and others) prohibit the use of aim-assist software in their online modes. A violation of these terms:

  • does not constitute a criminal offense (breach of contract is not criminal law)
  • may lead to immediate suspension of the player account
  • may, in cases of distribution or particularly serious violations, lead to damage claims by the provider
  • lies entirely within the user's sphere of responsibility

The provider expressly points out that use of the software in games that prohibit it in their terms constitutes a violation of those terms. The user makes an independent decision whether to accept this contractual risk.

Account Action Risk Solely on the User

Risk disclosure

Despite the software's technical design for maximum stable operation, there is no protection against account suspensions of any kind. Platform detection systems continue to evolve, and manual reviews by game providers may identify gameplay anomalies. You use the software entirely at your own risk.

The following sanctions may be imposed by game providers without the software provider bearing responsibility:

  • Game-specific account bans (VAC, EAC, Vanguard, BattlEye)
  • Hardware ID account actions
  • IP-based account actions
  • Cross-platform account suspensions (Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.net)
  • Loss of all virtual items, skins, ranks, statistics, and purchased in-game content
  • Geographic account restrictions on cloud gaming services

The user expressly waives any claims against the provider arising from or in connection with such sanctions. Full regulation in Terms Section 12.

Competition & E-Sports Express Prohibition

Criminally relevant: computer fraud under Section 263a StGB

Use of aim assistance in official e-sports tournaments, cups, or events with prize money, material prizes, or status advantages may fulfill the offense of computer fraud (Section 263a StGB) and is punishable by imprisonment of up to five years.

The user undertakes not to use the software in the following contexts:

  • Official e-sports tournaments (ESL, FACEIT Pro, Premier modes with prize pools)
  • Cash cups or cups with material prizes
  • Competitive modes whose results have commercial implications (sponsorship deals)
  • Betting platforms or other monetary contexts (skin betting)

In case of violation, the user bears sole civil and criminal responsibility. The provider reserves the right to cooperate with authorities in corresponding suspected cases and to deactivate licenses without refund.

No Warranties "As-Is" Provision

To the extent permitted by law, the provider expressly gives no warranties or assurances regarding:

  • permanent non-detection by platform anti-cheat systems ("stable" status is a design intention, not a promise)
  • uninterrupted availability of software update servers
  • compatibility with future game versions or operating systems
  • a specific hit rate, inference speed, or performance
  • operability on specific hardware combinations outside documented minimum requirements

Marketing statements on the website should be understood as general descriptions of how the software works, not as legally binding quality guarantees within the meaning of Section 443 BGB.

Intended Use Cases

The software is designed and licensed for the following use cases:

  • Research & education: Demonstration of modern computer vision methods in higher education and self-study in AI.
  • Accessibility: Assistance for players with motor impairments, limited vision (e.g. peripheral perception), or tremor conditions.
  • Private gaming: Casual play and non-binding ranked play without prize or status relevance.
  • Content creation: Creation of tutorial videos, demonstrations, or satirical content with explicit disclosure of software use.
  • Testing & QA: Test automation for your own games and applications.

Use outside these intended areas is at the sole responsibility of the user and is not covered by the license.

Export & Sanctions

The software is not sold to countries subject to EU or US sanctions, in particular not to Iran, North Korea, Syria, Belarus, the Russian Federation, or the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Orders from sanctioned countries are cancelled without refund. By placing an order, the user confirms that they are not located in a sanctioned country and are not listed on EU, US, or UN sanctions lists.

Protection of Minors

The software and all related content are intended exclusively for persons aged 18 and over. Sale to minors is excluded.

Parents and guardians are responsible for preventing their children from accessing the software and website. The provider relies on the following for age verification:

  • mandatory confirmation of legal age at checkout
  • payment processing via credit card and bank providers that perform their own age checks
  • parents may contact Kurexaisupport13@proton.me if they suspect a contract was concluded by a minor; in such cases the contract will be reversed and the license key deactivated.

Marketing Claims & Their Meaning
